Hey, Kids Let's Put on a Show - Cattle Call for the Weekend....

gloria-swanson.jpgThis weekend, Improv Impresario Ed Reggi is pulling together a rag-tag team of actors, bon vivants, scene stealers and potential superstars for the 48 Hour Film Festival!

The way I look at it, it's:
One Part The Factory
Three Parts So...You Wanna Be In Pictures?
and a Big Ole Toke of Hey, Kids, Let's Put on a Show!

guffman.jpgEd describes it this way:
Think of Soap Opera mixed with Waiting for Guffman.

I just wet myself a little.

If you wanna get involved, get on screen, or just do something that's a guaranteed blog entry please contact Ed Reggi at 314-265-4756 or e-mail him here.

I'm gonna help out Saturday. I'm going to Circus Flora Friday -- and maybe I'll be inspired to do some circus tricks for my on screen debut. It's gonna be guaranteed fun! Here's all the details:

-----

As with any film, there is always the need for both on and off camera support, but with a film being created in 48 hours - we need the support even more! In fact, I still need some camera, sound and lighting equipment - we just don't know what we might run into. You see the whole point of this festival is we get our information on Friday night - so we can even plan a single thing now!

BUT WE have is the improv spirit!

Check out www.48hourfilm.com and click around - and even see our city is posted.

This event is sure to be a fire hit this year with some 36 teams making films in 48 hours! The whole city will be alive with cameras, actors, and crew running all over the place. Doesn't that just sound like fun? (Okay so beer, pizza, and comfort food will help us survive this beast!)

Call me if you can give 1,2 or even 8 hours of help on or off stage. And please do not even think that you are a potential Holly Berry or Tom Cruise - your acting will be magical with the right improvised story/plot.

Here are the areas of still need:

Actors for Friday night and Saturday day
(9ish to 5ish - any parts of if you can give partial that's okay too!) We might even shoot after 5pm to 10pm Saturday for another round/crew of actors so call if you work early and get off later.

Crew for Saturday
this means you can help out with taping, editing, running to get more tapes, batteries, or beer! Crew is a valuable job for the film process.

We still need a location Producer
This is a person who can set up locations, search and find them as we need them. (Remember we have no clue what genre we are filming come Friday night when we will pull it from a hat.)

We can use extra 1 and 3 chip Mini-DV cameras in case of the dreaded technical problems!

We need any photography lights or any flood lights.
Really anything will work with the proper gels on them.

We also can use more microphones
Prefer booms or clips that run XLR. Audio is always a bug with fast paced filming.

COSTUMES COSTUMES COSTUMES
We need access to costumes as we get our scenes. So if you have the wardrobe - we may just need you to help out there! Be on call in your house, grandma's house to give us the old stuff.

For more info please contact: Ed Reggi at 314-265-4756 or e-mail him here.
